School holidays: the perfect time to remove unwanted household waste

Nothing makes the house feel full like having the kids around all day long. Fortunately, school holidays are the perfect opportunity to throw out any unwanted items that have been taking up space.

With the kids at home, you can get the whole family’s input on anything you’ve been dying to get rid of. Even better, hiring a rubbish removal service means you don’t have to spend these precious holidays hauling junk to the tip.

School holiday dates

In Queensland schools, Term 1 for 2016 finishes up on Thursday the 24th of March, while Term 2 begins 18 days later on the 11th of April. Individual Catholic and independent schools may have different school holiday dates to state schools, but they should still be set around the same time.

Later in the year, the Term 2 – 3 holidays are between June 24 and July 11, and the Term 3 – 4 holidays happen from October 16 to November 4. Summer holidays kick off at the end of the school year, from the 9th of December until the start of the new school year.

Household rubbish to be removed

A rubbish collection service can take away of those difficult-to-dispose-of household items. Large items such as furniture, fences, even entire fallen trees can all be broken down and carted away.

White goods, appliances, old clothes… there’s nothing a junk removal service won’t take off your hands. This leaves you with more breathing room, as well as the space to fill your home with the household items your family has always wanted. Need a household waste removal service?
